Mr. Samy Ahmed Al Ghassany

Mr. Samy Ahmed Al Ghassany has held several key management positions since joining ODP and is elected chairman of the board for Oman Data Park (ODP). He has been with Omantel and Oman Mobile for the past 17 years and currently holds the position of Chief Operating Officer at Omantel. His expertise lies in telecommunications networks and information technology. He holds a Master’s Degree in Computer Information Systems from the University of Detroit Mercy, U.S.A.






Mr. Ali Ahmed Khan

Board Member

M&A and Investment Lead – Omantel


Mr. Ali Ahmed Khan is a Board Member at Oman Data Park. He holds the position of Senior Expert Mergers and Acquisitions at Omantel. Mr. Khan has over eighteen years’ experience in Corporate Finance, Investment Banking, Equity and Debt Capital Markets, Project Finance and Mergers and Acquisitions. He has spearheaded several M&A and corporate development initiatives at Omantel including the establishment of Oman Data Park. He holds a Masters in Business Administration as well as CFA and CAIA Charters.






Mr. Wahbi Al-Riyami

Board Member


Mr. Wahbi Al-Riyami is a Board Member at Oman Data Park and is a Senior Manager at Omantel Finance Unit. He brings over 20 years of experience in Audit, Finance and Treasury investment area. His experience spans a number of industries, such as working for the Ministry of Finance, Oil & Gas (Orpic), investment and Telecommunications. He holds a Master's Degree of Science in Corporate Finance from the University of Salford.






Baha Al Lawati

Eng. Baha Allawati is a board Member and VP of Omantel’s Enterprise Unit since March 2019 he brings more than 18 years of experience in the IT, telecom, project management and wholesale business. He has held several Sr. management roles within Omantel spanning from international & carrier wholesale business to managing a portfolio of multimillion dollar telecom and IT projects. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering and a Master’s degree in Networking Security both from Vanderbilt University, USA, and a Master’s certification degree in Project Management from George Washington University.




Eng. Maqbool Al Wahaibi

Eng. Maqbool Al Wahaibi is the Chief Executive Officer of Oman Data Park (ODP), the first Managed & Cloud Service Provider in Oman. He is part of the executive management and the founding team member to establish ODP. Eng. Maqbool has more than 20 years of diversified experience in ICT engineering, Software Development, Business Startups and Leadership. Holds a Master’s Degree in Computer Software Engineering from the University of York.

Maqbool, is an organized, detail-oriented and conscientious self-starter with experience in the development, implementation and management of complex projects within time and budgetary constraints, as well in other areas, such as; strategic planning, human resource management, contract negotiation, contract management, sales and marketing. Able to strategize and prioritize effectively to accomplish multiple tasks under pressure. He also possess an aptitude to be a highly skilled listener and communicator, as well the ability to assess clients’ needs and convey necessary information with clarity and enthusiasm carrying a vision with his team on having Oman Data Park among the top Cloud Service Providers in the world.






Sukhwinder Singh

Senior Solution Architect


Mr. Sukhwinder Singh is working with Oman Data Park as a Senior Solutions Architect –Cloud, having experience of 13+ years in Cloud and Information technology. He was previously associated with named Organization like Orange Business Services, Unisys, HCL, and TATA. He is certified Solutions Architect AWS, Azure and VMware Advanced Certified Professional for Software Defined Datacenter Products.
